Nothing catches my eye like dragons in flight, courting each other. And this is good example of that. The scene is simply lovely, with a mated pair flying in that twilight hour where it's no longer truly day but neither is it night just yet. The right wing on the green dragon seems off, but it's a fairly minor quibble.
Mmm....if I close my eyes I can picture them continuing their dance, circling around each other as they continue to rise higher in the sky....
I really love the poses/anatomy on these creatures. The fur is REALLY fucking cool. I've always loved furred dragons/draconian creatures and these are no exception. The colors are splendid and the lighting is absolutely fabulous.
And I dunno what the complaint is about the shoulders. Most often I see dragons with a lack of muscle in that area that doesn't really make sense. I mean, don't most winged creatures (especially those who have heavier bones) possess larger muscles in that regard?
She did SUCH a lovely job, and you (and she) are absolutely correct about the wing musculature. The whole reason we eat bird breast meat is because there is so much of it because of all those flight muscles! I also see a lot of dragons who don't have wingspans wide enough that could lift/carry a dragon either... But I guess it's fantasy!
So I'm a little slow in finding the actual deviation.
This is GREAT. Their faces, their wings, their delicate paws... The sunset below them, the night sky above them, the feel of them reaching the apex of the flight... the echo of circling hanging in the air around them... everything I wanted. You got the angular shape of their faces right too! Ah, it's so wonderful!!!
Thank you again for this... I may never thank you enough XD Gosh, I'm going to stare at this all night now.
