Let me promote your art! Post and browse.
Hi guys! I hope you're all doing well. Things are pretty steady on my end. I keep drawing, working, and writing. Maybe I'll post an overall update soon as well that goes into details about my projects, writing and such. Now, I wanted to give something back for the constant support so I made this tweet https://twitter.com/Sythgara/status/1282988074553815041 For people to post, like and reblog each other's art to make it go further. But I also thought, it's been a while since I posted something community related on here so I'd like to do the same on here as well. Simply post a couple of your sfw pieces, maybe add what you do or any projects you're working on, perhaps we'll be able to find some stuff we like : ) Thanks!
If you got art in DA storage. Maybe back it up
Hey guys, how are you doing? I may be wrong about this, so feel free to correct me, but before Eclipse rolls out you might want to back up anything in your storage that means anything to you (I had a lot of stuff I did not have on pc anymore, and some with important dates to me personally) I tried looking for storage button in Eclipse and I have no idea where it's hiding if it is out there. Is it actually somewhere out there? If yes then feel free to ignore it. I would just hate to see people lose any of their old stuff. It was a nice feeling going back to my 2005 posts onward. Remembering some old friends who have not been in contact, or on DA all together in years now. I also did not realize how much more traffic I used to get, given how much lower my skill was as well. I knew it was more but not that hehe. Thousands of views, hundreds of favs. It was a different time around here for sure. Look at those : P PS: When I switch back to old DA I can't see this journal, even on

Hey!
Do you like to draw, sharing art with other people, exchanging resources and tutorials, but feel like big channels are bit crowded? (Not to mention silly memes, cooking recipes and more)
I feel like my channel is ready for some new faces. Everyone is welcoming and friendly but also silly so be ready for roasts and jokes and bad puns. We chat on and off on a daily basis so I’m looking for someone to join the shenanigans. If you feel you match that sort of energy let me know and I’ll send over an invite link : )
You must be over 18 years to join
See you there!
Eclipse was hiding hundreds of messages I missed.
With the yesterday's announcement that Eclipse will be soon rolling out permanently, I was somehow switched back to classic DA only to find out I had hundreds of journals, shouts, polls, some deviations still sitting in my inbox, unread, weeks and weeks old. Some as new as few last days. I'm finding it baffling how a site that's been in works for, what, about a year now? Is so fundamentally broken. I never get notifications on HQ updates on eclipse, and if you're in my sketchdump group you might find a lot of submissions have gone long enough into expiration because that's also never visible and I or my mod do not always remember to dig in th

Goodness, i dont think you pay to get an agent/editor? But there are editing services that you can pay for.
If you want an agent/editor to promote your book- I would do is research books that you enjoyed that are similar to the story you've written, then find who the agent/editors were. Some editors act as Agents, some Agents will act as editors. And if they can get a publisher interested in your story, they will have an editor as well.* Looking for an agent is kinda like making a resume for you/your book. You should prepare a blurb (i.e., what you would find on the back of a book that gives a summary of the story) and really nail it down to explain your story. The first sentence should explain the premise as well as be your hook. You can google agent letters, its about as clear as mud- kinda liek resumes. But being able to talk about and compare to what a particular agent likes and previous books they have supported is a big bonus in your agent letter.
But for now i wouldn't even worry about agents or editors until you have run your manuscript multiple times through yourself and your beta readers. You never contact an editor unless your manuscript is finished.
*[Though make sure its edited to the BEST you think it can be first. Beta readers are your very best friend, i've found writing forums are reluctant and difficult to read peoples stories because so many people want their story proofread without also contributing to the forum, and proofreading takes a lot of time. So Instead of forums, i'd look up local writing/proofreading groups in your area, or connect with other writers with manuscripts and do an exchange & proofread with each other! If I had a finish manuscript to exchange i'd do it with you hehe.]
